About Queen’s Park Healthcare Volunteer Society (QPHVS)
QPHVS raises funds for projects and programs that enhance the lives of the residents and patients at the Queen’s Park Care Centre and William Rudd House that are not funded by Fraser Health Authority. These include:
- Concerts in Care – a weekly musical event
- Fit Minds – an ongoing program for early dementia patients
- Music Therapy – engaging residents in social interaction
- Christmas Giving Event – ensuring that those in care receive a meaningful gift
- Funding Requests – from staff, year for specific needs of the residents

Queen’s Park Care Centre provides the community of New Westminster with general rehab, adult day programs and long term care services.

William Rudd House is a 12-bed community based residence for young persons with deteriorating physical disease. The mission of William Rudd House is to maximize the independence and quality of life of its residents.
