The New Westminster Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports local homeowners in the preservation of their designated heritage properties. Each year, the Foundation provides grants to assist with the maintenance, restoration, or replication of exterior character-defining elements - the architectural features that give heritage homes their historic value.

Our goal is to help safeguard New Westminster’s many historically significant homes for future generations by encouraging owners to pursue formal Heritage Designation through the City of New Westminster. Designation is a form of long-term legal protection that is registered on the property title.

Homeowners whose properties have been formally designated are eligible for grants of up to $10,000 from the NWHF.

To learn more about pursuing Heritage Designation for your home, please visit the City of New Westminster’s website:

The New Westminster Heritage Foundation thanks the City of New Westminster and Heritage New West for their ongoing support and financial contributions to this program.
