'Remembering in Place' for 2021
November 9, 2021
On this year's Remembrance Day, New West Heritage reflects on the sacrifice of those who gave their lives and the courage of those who continue to serve. In light of the continuing pandemic, please 'Remember in Place' by finding a moment for quiet reflection, wherever you are.
Remembrance Day WWI New Self-Guided Veterans Walking Tour
Presented by the New Westminster Heritage Preservation Society with support from the New Westminster Museum and Archives.

Once again, we will be ‘remembering in place’ this Remembrance Day. While it’s not possible for us to gather in remembrance, the City of New Westminster is providing a number of ways to observe the day. New Westminster Museum has compiled a map showing the family homes of 19 New Westminster veterans. Interpretive posters telling their stories were created by New Westminster’s Heritage Preservation Society and researched and written by local historian Jim Wolf. Museum staff will set up information posters like this one along the street outside each of the homes listed on the map for people to explore at their own pace.
